My Hiking Journey

My journey started at the age of 20 years old where I had keen interest in
mountains. The first mini hill I climbed was called Pendle Hill at 557 metres.
This was a very tough challenge because of the number of steps and zig zag
paths. I decided to set myself a challenge on climbing every week and focussed
on time and distance.

After a couple of months, I had the courage to conquer my fears on climbing
other mountains In the local area. Hiking became a passion, and the altitude
became an addiction. This led to conquering over 50 mountains in Lake district
and Peak district. I decided to then challenge myself on conquering the highest
mountains in England: Scar fell Pike, Wales: Snowdon, Scotland: Ben Nevis
and focused on distance. The most exhilarating experience was completing the
Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge and 10 Peak Coldale Challenge. I successfully
summited all the mountains over the years and desired to challenge myself
further.

I came across World Highest OCR and signed up for this crazy challenge. I
wanted to push my body to its extreme limits and conquer the impossible. I
summited the free-standing mountain in the world at 5,895 meters with a group
of 43 athletes from 26 different countries from around the world. This has never
been attempted before and I am glad to part of a unique expedition. I have
achieved x2 Guinness World Records: World Highest Fitness class and World
Highest Obstacle course. I wish to empower more women to get involved in
extreme sports and promote Mountaineering in the community.
